By mid-2021, many of us were tired of ordering the same delivery food week after week. Tiger Beer’s answer was the Tiger Street Food Box, a limited-run delivery box built around mash-ups between classic street food stalls and some of KL’s popular modern restaurants. Here is what was inside.

The line-up paired names like Devi’s Corner, Yut Kee, myBurgerLab, Ticklish Ribs & ‘Wiches, Megah Taiwan Sausage, Mama Manta, Fifty Tales and Choon Prawn Mee House. Some of the combinations that stood out:

There were two sizes. The one-person box (RM28) had one main, one side and one can of Tiger Beer or Tiger Crystal. The two-person box (RM48) had two mains, a large side and two cans. Every order also came with a limited-edition Tiger Street Food chopstick set. Boxes were pre-ordered and delivered on set days in the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor Bahru.

What made this fun was seeing old-school stalls and newer restaurants cook together. It gave hawkers a new way to reach customers during a tough period and gave diners a reason to try something new without leaving home.
These boxes were a one-off, but many of the partner restaurants and stalls are worth visiting in person. Do check they are still open before you go.
