Gong Cha Marble Series: Mango, Matcha, Chocolate & Strawberry Marble
In March 2021, Gong Cha brought back the best sellers from its Marble Series in a 700ml “Mega” size, timed with Shopee’s 4.4 sale. The series gets its name from the way Gong Cha’s milk foam swirls into the drink and creates a marble pattern on the cup, which makes every drink very photogenic. Here is a look at all four flavours.
Mango Marble
This layers Gong Cha’s signature milk foam with its light milk green tea and mango. It is creamy and fruity at the same time, with a burst of sweet mango that feels made for a hot Malaysian afternoon. If you like fruit teas but want something richer, start with this one.
Matcha Marble
Fine matcha powder is woven into rich milk for a smooth, silky look, then topped with milk foam. Matcha lovers will appreciate the earthy flavour, and as with all Gong Cha drinks, you can adjust the sweetness to taste.
Chocolate Marble
The simplest of the four: bittersweet chocolate with creamy milk foam. It is lighter than a full chocolate milkshake, so it works as a palate cleanser after a meal when you do not want a heavy dessert. It first appeared in the Gong Cha chocolate series a few months earlier.
Strawberry Marble
The prettiest of the lot, with red streaks of strawberry swirled through white milk. Topped with milk foam, it tastes like a velvety strawberry milk tea and is definitely worth a photo before you stir it.
