My Ash Blue Hair Makeover @ 90’s Hairstyle, Bandar Sri Petaling
After years of bleaching and dyeing, my hair was dry and badly damaged, especially at the ends. I had been dreaming of a shiny ash blue mane for ages, so I finally booked a session at 90’s Hairstyle in Bandar Sri Petaling. Here is how my hair makeover went.
The Salon
Decked out in white with a minimalist design, the salon is bright, clean and calm. The no-frills interior and comfy seating make it easy to sit for hours, which matters when you are in for colour and treatment. The washing area even has a curtain for extra privacy.
Before: Dry, Damaged Ends
As you can see in the before photo, the bottom half of my hair was dry and brittle from my previous bleaching. Before we started, I was served a cup of warm ginger tea and given a small blanket to cover my legs, a sweet touch that I really appreciated.
The Treatment
My stylist, Juno, talked me through the options. The salon offers men’s and women’s haircuts, scalp and hair treatments, hot perms, fashion colours and Olaplex. Juno suggested the Milbon 3 Step Layer treatment to repair my hair and make it look healthier and brighter. Since blue is my favourite colour, I asked for ash blue on the lower half. Throughout the session, the staff kept checking that I was comfortable.

They finished with a blow-dry and soft waves since I had an event that night. I love the result: my hair feels smoother, more manageable and looks so much healthier, with the ash blue shade I had always wanted.
